Nylon-66

Polyhexadiohexylenediamine, commonly known as nylon-66, is a thermoplastic resin, commonly made from polycondensation of adipic acid and hexadiamine. Insoluble in general solvents, only soluble in resorcinol, etc.High mechanical strength and hardness, high rigidity. Can be used as engineering plastics, mechanical accessories such as gears, lubricated bearings, instead of non-ferrous metal materials for machine housing, automobile engine blades, etc., can also be used to make synthetic fiber.

Specifications of nylon-66

Nylon 66 has good comprehensive properties, such as high strength, good rigidity, impact resistance, oil resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance and self-lubrication, especially better hardness, rigidity, heat resistance and creep performance, and easy access to raw materials, low cost, so it is widely used in industry, clothing, decoration, engineering plastics and other fields.

How is Adipic Acid Applied to Nylon-66 ?

Nylon 66 is made up of adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine.

Nylon 66 is often used in products that require high mechanical strength, good heat stability or chemical resistance. It is used in textiles and carpet fibres and moulded parts, as well as airbag fibres.
